In 1966 I inherited the editorship of the West Gulf DX Bulletin. It was during the “glory days” of DX. Along with the editor’s job came a board position on the YASME Foundation. I stayed on the YASME Board for more than 30 years.
Besides spending too much time with Gus Browning and Don Miller, I attended the induction ceremony for Danny Weil into the DX Hall of Fame. Captain John’s Seafood House in West Houston became the gathering spot for the famous and the deserving DXers.
